Eileen Ashley ADCRG Principal

Eileen was born in Sydney to Irish parents and started dancing at the age of 4.  Eileen quickly progressed through the grades, winning her first championship at age 6.   Eileen was the NSW state and Australian national solo champion and also won many team titles. Eileen also competed at the world championships four times with a top placing of 19th.

Eileen established the Trinity Studio of Irish Dance in November 2003 alongside Rita Maguire ADCRG and had her first national champion in 2004. Since then, she has had the privilege of watching her dancers compete at state and National championships each year, as well as on the world and North American nationals stage. Trinity dancers pride themselves on hard work, being team players and most of all having fun.

Eileen became a qualified Irish dance adjudicator in 2016, taking her all over Australia. She feels very privileged to be able to do something she’s so passionate about as her job.

Eileen feels a deep connection to her Irish heritage through Irish dance, and passes this passion on to her dancers and her daughters.

Katherine Travers TCRG

Katherine has been dancing with Eileen Ashley and the Trinity Studio since its inception in 2003 and officially teaching as a qualified TCRG since January 2017.

Since starting as a beginner at age 6, Katherine competed in Irish dance for 23 years and was successful in winning 9 state championship titles, many ceili team titles and many top 10 placements at the Australian National Championships including 4th in 2004. Katherine was fortunate to travel to the North American National Championships, placing 16th in 2012 and 31st in 2008. She also represented the Trinity Studio at the World Irish dancing Championships in 2013.

Katherine values the team spirit and lifelong friendships shared amongst dancers at the Trinity Studio and hopes to inspire all dancers with her passion for Irish dancing.

Taryn Owen TCRG

Taryn began dancing at the age of 2 however her passion for Irish dancing began at aged 10. Being a dancer with Trinity Studio since it opened in 2003, Taryn competed for 15 years taking part in many State, National and International Championships.

Taryn has had successful solo placings including top 3 at State Championships, top 10 at National Championships and 33rd at the North American National Championships in 2010. Taryn has also represented Western Australia at the World Irish Dancing Championships in 2002. She has also had many top 10 Ceili team placings at various level competitions.

Taryn successfully became a registered TCRG in December 2022 and is very honoured to be a part of the Trinity Studio teaching team.  She is proud to be passing on her love of Irish dancing and experience across all age groups, along with the dedication and commitment values of the Trinity Studio.

Siân Fitzgerald-Cain TCRG

Siân began Irish dancing at the age of 6, developing a love for the art form and following in the footsteps of her paternal Grandparents. In 2005 Siân joined the Trinity Studio and competed for 17 years, achieving success in both solo and team competitions.

Siân won the WA state solo championships in 2014, and placed in the top 10 at both the Australian National Championships and Australian International Oireachtas during her career. Qualifying for multiple World Championships, Siân competed in Boston, London, Dublin and Belfast, where she received a world recall medal in 2022. Siân also competed at the North American Championships in 2019 where she placed 16th, a true highlight of her career. Siân credits the success of her dancing career to the constant guidance and support of Principal Teacher, Eileen Ashley.

Through her time dancing with Trinity, Siân has formed life long friends, strengthened by a shared passion and love for Irish dance. Siân became a qualified TCRG in December 2022, along side fellow teacher and friend, Taryn Owen.

Nell Taylor Associate Teacher

Nell began her dancing career at the age of 11 after falling in love with Riverdance and Lord of the dance. She started with the Joyce school, where she quickly developed a passion for Irish Dancing and decided she wanted to become an Irish dancing teacher. Nell moved to the Trinity Studio when she was 14 and continued to progress through her competition levels, competing in nine State and National championships. She achieved a personal best of 2nd in the WA State Championships and 4th in the National championships in 2010. Nell danced with the Aaron Crosbie School in London in 2007, broadening her dance and competition experience. Nell passed the TCRG exam in 2018, and when she isn’t teaching at the Trinity Studio, Nell is an Anthropologist working with remote Aboriginal communities.
